Wendy Chavez is an associate in the firm’s Construction and Litigation Departments.
Experience
Wendy represents owners, developers, and contractors in all aspects of complex litigation matters involving breach of contract and other contractual claims, project delays, payment disputes, lien/bond claims, and declaratory judgment matters.
Before joining Cole Schotz, Wendy was an associate at a boutique construction law firm where she represented real estate developers, property owners, and design professionals in both litigation and transactional matters, which included negotiating license agreements in connection with complex projects and handling litigation disputes arising from property damage, project delays, and breaches of contract.
Prior to that, Wendy served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department’s Commercial & Real Estate Litigation Division. In this role, Wendy defended the City of New York in complex construction litigation involving contractual disputes.
