Jack M. Dougherty is an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department.
Jack advises clients on all aspects of in-court and out-of-court restructurings and has represented debtors, creditors’ committees, major creditors, liquidating trustees, and parties in complex adversary proceedings.
Jack’s debtor representations include Joann Inc., Appgate, Vyaire Medical, SiO2 Medical Products, View Inc., and American Virtual Cloud Technologies. He has also represented creditors committees in major chapter 11 cases such as First Brands, F21 OpCo (Forever 21), Big Lots, Liberated Brands, Forma Brands, Sientra, NewAge, Soft Surroundings, Restoration Forest, TPC Group, Phoenix Services Topco, and Mallinckrodt. His bankruptcy litigation experience includes representing Lynn Tilton and the Patriarch Funds in disputes arising from the Zohar Funds bankruptcies.
Jack is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, where he served as a panelist at the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop in Hershey, PA. Jack is also a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Delaware Bankruptcy Inn of Court.

He earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
