Amanda Tersigni is an Associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring Department and is a resident of the New York office.
EXPERIENCE
Amanda has handled various types of cases in numerous New York and New Jersey courts at the federal and state level. Amanda’s practice is mainly focused in bankruptcy.
Amanda received her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Executive Research Editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Since graduating law school in 2018, Amanda has experience handling bankruptcy matters and commercial litigation. She has represented debtors and creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases, as well as representing clients in litigious adversary proceedings. She has additional experience representing contractors in multi-million-dollar construction claims against the City of New York and has also represented lenders in commercial foreclosure actions. Amanda is admitted in both New York and New Jersey.
In 2023, prior to joining Cole Schotz, Amanda stepped away from private practice to clerk for the Honorable Judge Jil Mazer-Marino (Oct. 2023 – Mar. 2024) and the Honorable Chief Judge Alan A. Trust (Apr. 2024 – Dec. 2024) both in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.
