EXPERIENCE
Alex graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in May 2024, where he served as a Staff Editor for the SMU Law Review Association. During law school, Alex gained practical experience through his work as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Amos L. Mazzant, III in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and through his work drafting and prosecuting patents in SMU’s Patent Law Clinic. Additionally, Alex further developed his understanding of patent law and intellectual property through experiential courses, where he spent time drafting each major component of a patent, providing oral arguments in a simulated IPR proceeding, and arguing before the Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in a mock-Markman Hearing.
Prior to law school, Alex graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, where he also played for the school’s varsity baseball team.
