Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout Outs

Shout out to Gary Sorden and his team at Cole Schotz who scored a $34.6 million infringement verdict for client GeigTech in a patent fight over window shade technology. A federal jury in Manhattan found all six claims of GeigTech’s patent were valid and willfully infringed and awarded the company nine times what it asked for. The trial team also included Cole Schotz members Donald Ottaunick, Brian King, James Perkins, Aaron Davidson and Vishal Patel, and associates Pekham Pal, Gianna Zapata and Kristopher Ruiz.
