Connell Foley Corporate Ace Joins Cole Schotz In NJ
Cole Schotz PC continued a run of recent growth in its corporate department this week with the addition of a former Connell Foley LLP partner with experience in a wide range of transactions and outside general counsel work in New Jersey.
John W. Dalo, who was promoted to partner at Connell Foley in early 2023, has joined Cole Schotz as a partner, the firm announced Monday.
“The primary goal for me is to elevate my practice and work on more sophisticated transactions with a more national scale,” Dalo told Law360 Pulse regarding the move Monday. Cole Schotz provides the platform and range of specialties to help his client base, he added.
Dalo handles corporate issues ranging from corporate governance to mergers and acquisitions, entity formation and organization, financing and loan transactions, regulatory compliance, and private offerings, Cole Schotz said. He also advises on real estate leasing and acquisitions.
Cole Schotz also noted that Dalo serves as outside general counsel for national and multinational companies in a range of industries handling commercial, transactional and regulatory issues.
Dalo said he aims for a practical, “partnership-oriented” approach to working with clients that involves learning as much as he can about their industries and seeing matters from their perspectives.
“I try to understand their industry and understand the pressures that the c-suite executives that I work with have to deal with,” he said.
