Cole Schotz Expands Alternative Dispute Resolution Services
Cole Schotz announces today it has expanded its Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practice to include a Dispute Resolution Professionals subgroup with a distinct focus on overseeing arbitration and mediation proceedings. The new subgroup builds upon the firm’s existing ADR services, which have always helped businesses navigate and resolve disputes through arbitration and mediation.
Continuing the legacy of co-founder David L. Cole – who was a well-known labor arbitrator and mediator – the Cole Schotz Dispute Resolution Professionals practice includes experienced attorneys and former state and federal court judges who are respected for their dispute resolution skills, knowledge, impartiality and efficiency. Members of the group are also frequently selected by clients and courts to serve in a variety of ADR roles, such as bankruptcy examiners, compliance monitors, special fiscal agents and custodians, discovery masters, court-appointed special adjudicators, and executors.
“While the firm has a long history of guiding its clients through disputes, by formalizing our ADR practice to include dedicated dispute resolution professionals, we are reinforcing a commitment to focus on a service for our ADR clients that will help save time, resources, and unnecessary expenses,” said Hon. Garry S. Rothstadt (Ret.), former Judge in the Superior Court of New Jersey and Of Counsel at Cole Schotz. “We understand the stress and burden that disputes can cause for litigants and our goal is to approach all situations with professionalism and integrity to achieve a quick resolution.”
The group’s services span a wide array of industries and legal issues, including bankruptcy litigation, business dissolutions and shareholder disputes, probate matters, real estate and construction issues, and commercial contract and business litigation.
In addition to providing legal services, members of the team serves as panelists with the American Arbitration Association (AAA), FedArb, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) and JAMS.
