Seeking a Document Review Staff Attorney with 3+ years’ or intense Relativity experience. All applicants must have a valid license to practice law in one of the states where our offices are located: NJ, NY, DE, MD, TX & FL and be fluent with Relativity.
Document Review Staff Attorney Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluating analyzing, coding, classifying large volumes of documents and other electronically stored information for matters in connection with discovery, investigation and/or due diligence processes
- Evaluating and applying privilege and/or redaction and/or confidentiality designations to documents and other electronically stored information
- Preparing privilege/redaction logs
- Summarizing and/or charting information gleaned from document review
- Coordinating with attorneys, clients, litigation support professionals and legal process outsourcers on all facets of the EDRM (electronic discovery reference model)
- Productively communicating and driving projects forward with attorneys, clients, litigation support professionals and legal process outsourcers

Seeking an Application Engineer. This person will work closely with the Enterprise Applications Manager in IT, Accounting, Marketing, Records, and other firm personnel to ensure all applications run optimally and without interruption. Good communication, technical and analytical skills are required, with a heavy focus on Microsoft SQL (querying, reporting in SSIS and other tools, maintenance, documentation, and upgrades), Windows Servers, and Microsoft online services. Some programming knowledge would be a ‘nice to have,’ but expert knowledge is not required.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- As part of team, integrate, update, administer, and support the firm’s management applications, which include the following:

- Responsibilities within the firm’s application stack include:
- Performing application implementations, reconfiguration, upgrades, and periodic maintenance.
- Administering the underlying platforms, especially Microsoft SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Active Directory and Azure AD authentication and integration, and Windows Servers.
- Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders during projects and system upgrades; assessing and communicating risk factors, primarily when integrated systems cause a “trickle-down” effect.
- Participating in month-end maintenance such as: Windows updates, SQL maintenance, query optimization, and security patching.
- Testing applications during system changes, enhancements, upgrades, and monthly system maintenance.
- Documenting system configurations, integrations, backup, and disaster recovery processes and other processes.
- Creating how-to guides and documenting resolutions to frequently asked questions.
- Communicating and informing the department and management of project statuses, issues, and proposed resolutions.
- Resolving support requests/tickets escalated from the helpdesk team, including ‘end user’ application troubleshooting.
- Managing vendor support tickets.
- Tracking and optimizing system performance and storage utilization, plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in SQL administration, data queries, and reporting (“SSRS”) essential
- Demonstrated ability to learn functional and technical integration aspects of the firm’s applications, based on experience in a variety of environments.
- 3+ years’ experience operating accounting, time tracking, billing, and management software in a legal or other professional services company strongly preferred.
- Fluency in the Elite 3E SQL database schema preferred or a demonstrated ability to develop such fluency based on experience with other systems.
- Experience with any of Elite 3E Templates (“Design Gallery”), Workspace, BizTalk, Elite Application Framework and Tools and 3E Solutions Manager a plus and would be very attractive.
- Proficiency in XML/XSLT transformation.
- Proficiency with some combination of PowerShell, C# and Visual Basic .Net, HTML5 or other programming or scripting languages.
- Experience administering Windows Server.
- Solid technical foundation with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex problems and implement solutions with minimal guidance.

Non-essential Functions:
- Responsible for communication, coordination and “backup” of other members of the Information Technology Department as required to service the firm and its clients.
- Exempt position: expected to work additional hours, weekends, and holidays, as required in the performance of customary and typical IT duties.
- This position is considered essential to the function of the firm. Therefore, attendance during firm administrative leave and closings may be required.

Seeking a Human Resources Manager. This position is responsible for firm-wide human resource functions, including resource planning, recruitment, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, benefits and employee relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide managerial and administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer in the following areas:
• All human resource functions of the Firm, continuously evaluating current Firm policies & procedures, make recommendations for improvement.
• Firm recruiting, hiring, development and retention programs in compliance with state/federal regulations and recommended employment law practices.
• Determine staffing needs for the Firm; meet and maintain benchmarked staffing ratios and trends. Oversee non-exempt personnel including administrative assistants and other clerical staff to ensure that Firm expectations are being met.
• Oversee employee relations and resolution of employment conflicts.
• Work with Firm personnel to ensure the Firm’s compliance in handling requests for leaves of absence.
• Coordinate with Chief Human Resources Officer and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator regarding all Firm benefit plans, including 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan.
• Ensure the Firm has updated standard job descriptions for support staff & ensure timely review of job descriptions & position specifications.
• Keep Firm Managing Partners and Chief Human Resources Officer informed of HR matters; assist with any reports and financial analysis as requested. Assist with integration of new attorneys.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Human Resources Officer or Firm Managing Partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field, or a comparable level of training such as that which may be acquired through additional work experience. Prior law firm experience, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR a plus.
• Approximately 4+ years of progressively responsible work experience with legal or other professional service organizations to gain the expertise needed to administer a professional HR system.
• Ability to identify & analyze complex issues, able to recommend and implement solutions to same.

Seeking an Intellectual Property Prosecution Paralegal for our New Jersey or New York Offices with 5+ years of law firm intellectual property prosecution paralegal experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare and file U.S. trademark prosecution and maintenance documents electronically with the USPTO including but not limited to applications, office action responses, extensions of time, statements of use, affidavits, renewals, assignments, and powers of attorneys.
• Identify and prepare appropriate specimens of use for submission to the USPTO, and communicate with clients regarding same.
• Prepare and file trademark documents with WIPO and through the Madrid Protocol, including but not limited to applications for International Registration, responses to Notices of Irregularity, renewals, assignments, and powers of attorney.
• Work with and correspond with foreign counsel in connection with prosecution and maintenance of trademark applications/ registrations outside of the United States, including attending to notarization and legalization of documents.
• Communicate with clients regarding trademark status and upcoming deadlines as needed.
• Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches online and USPTO website.
• Prepare and file copyright applications for registration.
• Conduct due diligence on trademark portfolios and IP-related corporate transactions.
• Assist with preparation and filing TTAB petitions, motions, and other paperwork.
