Chris Della Pietra is a member of the firm’s Corporate Transactions Department and is regarded as a trusted legal advisor to companies, often serving as general corporate counsel and as a deal quarterback known for the smooth execution of his clients’ business dealings.
Experience
Chris is a veteran attorney with a broad corporate practice, representing a wide array of clients in corporate and transactional matters, including particular experience in mergers and acquisitions. He has substantial experience representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies in a range of transactions. Additionally, Chris regularly serves as general corporate counsel to companies of all sizes and in various industries, advising on day-to-day legal and business matters. His clients appreciate his attention to detail and his dedication to obtaining the most favorable outcome in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Chris has acted as lead counsel or played a prominent role in numerous transactions. Select highlights include:
- Represented a leading environmental analytical testing facility in a complex equity sale.
- Represented a public mobility-first enterprise services and solutions company in general corporate matters as well as having counseled on multiple strategic acquisitions over the duration of ten years.
- Represented a strategies consulting business in connection with the acquisition of a market research services company.
- Represented multiple clients in the acquisitions and divestitures of companies engaged in the environmental services industry throughout the country.
- Provided counsel on the sale of a privately held company engaged in the manufacturing, marketing, sale and distribution of pest control products.
- Served as outside general counsel to multiple privately held companies and family offices, advising on all aspects of the businesses, from the day-to-day undertakings to the sale of subsidiaries, including a pharmaceutical packaging company and metal manufacturing and distribution businesses.
Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Chris was the founding and managing partner of a boutique corporate and commercial law firm.
